Walks
- We would usually walk south onto the side of Albury Down and along the large grassland areas heading west on the south side of the area, returning along the North Downs Way or along the higher side of the fields. This walk can be extended on the all-weather paths north of the North Downs Way in the woodland that winds around towards the visitor centre.
Description
- The North Downs Way crosses the top of Albury Down at Newlands Corner. There are excellent views to the south from the top of Albury Down. Of the Surrey Hills, this one is the closest to Guildford, making this a very popular spot on the A25 for walkers, dog owners, bikers and families, especially as there is also a cafe and toilets.
Wet weather
- Albury Down can get very muddy but the smaller path to the north that winds its way behind the visitor centre is suitable for all weathers.
