Ingredients
- 250 g (10 oz) flour
- 125 g (5 oz) butter
- A few tbsp of water
Method
- Cut the butter into cubes.
- Add the butter and flour to a food processor and blitz to the "breadcrumbs" stage.
- Add a couple of tbsp of water and blitz further. If after 15 seconds or so the mixture starts to come together stop; if you still have the breadcrumbs, add water one tbsp at a time until it comes together.
- Remove from the food processor and push together to make one ball of pastry.
- Refrigerate for half an hour before rolling.
Hint
Half fat to flour.

This recipe has enough pastry to roll the bottom and top sections of a pie for a large pie dish.
